Incredible Surplus have a number of sites across Birmingham where we grow fruit and vegetables and compost our waste.
Over the last 6 months we have been working with Chris and Liz from General Public who have been working with our volunteers & the Princes Trust to develop our sites at Londonderry, Smethwick and Dads Lane, Moseley.
A harvest is made every Thursday morning at both sites, with the delicious fresh fruit and vegetables, being distributed less than an hour later at the Sharehouse, Winson Green.
We are responding to vegetables our customers are interested in, so alongside the usual beans and tomatoes, we have been growing tree spinach, several types of perennial kales and callaloo. We would like to work in partnership with other organisations with similar aims so please get in contact.
