‘Digest’ News and Call to Action

Thank you to all Donors, Volunteers, & Supporters!

2021 was another record-breaking year at Incredible Surplus! You can download our annual ‘Digest’ here:

While we didn’t imagine we could top the efforts made in 2020, we’ve gone from strength to strength, despite the challenges of the pandemic.

As you can see from this graph, our amazing and dedicated volunteers managed to collect and redistribute EVEN MORE surplus in 2021 than ever before!

But while our collections have grown significantly over the past few years, in truth, the demand for the surplus we collect is getting greater and greater all the time too.

While our own distribution sessions at various Incredible Surplus locations have stayed fairly stable, we now have many more partners than ever before distributing surplus across the city and beyond: Food Banks, Schools, Places of Worship, Homeless Charities and more all help to get good, usable surplus food out to where it is needed and where it will be used. With their help, we distributed food and non food items benefiting more than 200,000 people in 2021.

But we know there’s more surplus out there to be collected! And now we need your help in making links with the right people to make it happen.

Do you know somewhere with surplus to donate?

Do you work somewhere that generates surplus we could could collect? Do your friends or family work for businesses, be they retail, wholesale or hospitality, who may have surplus we can collect and redistribute in the community?

We’ve asked every business we can think of, but often what it takes to make this happen, rather than us cold-calling, is someone who knows someone making that connection for us and putting us in touch.

So, friends, what we’re asking is can you be that someone, making the links we need to help us collect and redistribute more surplus in 2022?

Please, get in touch. Hook us up!
